Beatrice is a seamstress from Beni, Congo. The city where the massacre continues to this day. She became a refugee after surviving abuse that led to the loss of her pregnancy. ”I lost my husband, my house was in ruins, so fleeing to Uganda was the only option, and I have been here since 2017.” Sewing and making various designs provides Beatrice with a small income each day and takes her mind off her traumatic experiences as she slowly resumes her life.
